Writing Playlist: Film Scores

Greetings, fellow writers! We are in the home stretch of NaNoWriMo, and I am sure that several of you have already succeeded in reaching the 50K minimum to win the write-a-thon. Congratulations!

Below is a writing playlist that I compiled of my favorite film scores (two of which are by Hans Zimmer). If you are still competing in NaNoWriMo, this playlist is yours to enjoy! Hopefully it inspires you! If you are done with NaNo, then feel free to still listen to this playlist for other writing projects (or even editing the one you just completed).

Like a lot of other writers in the modern age, I tend to write as if my novel were a movie. You may sympathize with the ability of seeing the scene play out in your mind, every movement and bit of dialogue–and the perfect background music to make the emotional pull even stronger. Film scores do an excellent job of fulfilling the musical requirements for most every writing need–emotional scenes, fast-paced scenes, final showdown scenes, THE WORKS.

Enjoy the playlist, and be sure to let me know what your favorite film score is!
