We’re offering a tip of the hate to the Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt herself, but mostly we want to talk about Tina Fey.
We have a lot to thank Tina Fey for. She’s been leaving us in stitches for years, on SNL, 30 Rock, and in movies like Mean Girls, Date Night, and Baby Mama just to name a few. And now she’s brought us The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. If you haven’t seen it yet, do yourself a favor and go binge watch NOW.
Let’s face it, Tina Fey has it all. She’s beautiful and funny and smart as hell. She’s not just an actress, she’s a damn good writer. She broke into a world that was largely dominated by men and helped forge a path for other ladies. Both Zoey Deschanel and Mindy Kaling (funny ladies in their own right) have cited her as an inspiration.
Today I’m going to leave you with the opening for The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. The first episode begins with women being rescued from a cult and the media insanity that follows. The theme song for the show is a play on the auto-tuning phenomena. Also, it’s catch as hell.
