NaNoWriMo – The Day After

NaNo 2015 Banner

It’s Over! We Made It! …right?

Whew. Just…whew. This month was a doozy. Illness, houseguests, a holiday…and a nearly impossible goal. How did you do? Did you draft 50k? 30k?  ONE MILLION THOUSAND WORDS? Whatever you accomplished, I am so proud of you! Writing is a terrifying adventure, and I love knowing that others out there are taking the plunge. Good on ya!

Take a Moment. Celebrate.

I honestly didn’t think I was going to make my personal of revising my entire 90k word manuscript in November, but I DID. And I might have tortured B3 with a 4am happy dance as a result. Maybe.

But that happy dance was really important, and so is yours. If you haven’t taken the time to really reflect on and celebrate what you did last month…do it now. Take a moment. Do a dance.

Totally worth it.

My go-to jam.

That one was for the kids. And for me.

Looking Ahead

What’s next? Revisions? A rest? More writing? A much needed mental break from the insanity? Come back tomorrow to read Viv’s advice on how to keep your NaNoWriMo momentum going on through December and into the New Year.

And finally, dear LadyNerders, don’t forget to leave us a comment below about your own NaNoWriMo experiences. We want to hear all about it!
